Alexander gallery hosts new virtual art exhibition

A new virtual art exhibition being hosted by the Alexander Gallery will be viewable on the CCC art webpage through Dec. 11.

The exhibition, “Disillusionment,” from artist Edie Overturf, confronts the environmental and political climate we find ourselves in today, as well as the confusion and anxiety that can spawn from it, and a slight glimmer of hope in the facing of it all.

Overturf presents us with a variety of different methods in her work, including woodcut, screen print, colored pencil illustration, and even bookmaking. Overturf has been supported in the past by the Academic Innovation Grant and the Image Fund Grant of University of Minnesota and has presented her work in a variety of exhibitions across the U.S.

For those looking to dive a little deeper into this collection of Overturf’s work, she will be hosting an artist talk over Zoom on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
