CCC to continue with finals, pushes spring term start to April 6

CCC has put out a Covid-19 update, continuing finals as planned for next week and pushing the start of spring term to April 6.

CCC president Tim Cook stated via email:

“Where online learning is feasible (e.g., labs) class sizes will be limited or room sizes expanded to provide social distancing”

“We are urging instructors to be flexible in attendance policies and to consider accommodating reasonable concerns brought by students, especially those who are sick and/or are considered high risk.”

By state mandate, all gatherings over 250 people are cancelled.

Events that are set to be cancelled:

March 13 – Welcome Center groundbreaking

March 13-14 – Instrumental Jazz Festival

March 23-27 – Environmental Learning Center

April 16 – Skills Competition

These events aren’t all the ones being cancelled.
