On Saturday, May 21, Clackamas Community College celebrated its 50th anniversary. There were many events to attend throughout the day but the event that attracted the most people was the time capsule opening in between the Community Center and Barlow at 3 p.m. Many people were unaware that the benches they sit on outside of the Community Center actually contain time capsules. College President Joanne Truesdell had the honor of taking the fi rst item out of the 25-year-old time capsule, which was a bright yellow, curly cord telephone. Some of the other contents in the capsule were: an old class schedule, issues of The Clackamas Print, a mug and a Frisbee.
