College to discuss raising tuition

The Clackamas Community College board of education is scheduled to discuss raising tuition at its Wednesday board meeting. College administration wants to raise tuition $3 per credit hour, from $87 to $90.

This meeting is scheduled for Feb. 10. The expected outcome of raising the tuition, as stated in the board agenda is as follows: “The strategic priority of fiscal sustainability is the primary factor leading to the recommended tuition rate.”

If the vote passes, then tuition will be $90 per credit hour starting summer 2016.
