Police: No sexual assault occurred on campus

An alleged sexual assault was reported to the Oregon City Police Department on the Oregon City Clackamas Community College campus on Sept. 19.

The adult female, who was allegedly a victim of sexual assault, told law enforcement that the assault happened on the northwest boundary of the CCC campus around 9:30 p.m.

The person who was accused of sexual assault was reported to be a white male in his early to mid 30s who went by the name “Gerald” or “Jerald.”

On Oct. 3, 2017, Oregon City Police Department released information to the press that was posted on FlashAlert, and after going through a two-week long investigation on campus, detectives from the police department concluded that no sexual assault took place on the school grounds.

However, detectives are still investigating the case and are unable to release any more information to the public for now. As they stated in their press release, “We will not be releasing additional details at this time.”

The police department and CCC wants students, staff and others to know that there’s currently no safety risk to the campus regarding this case.
