Scholarship applications for the 2026-2027 school year are now open.

You can submit scholarship requests until April 15, 2026. The scholarship application is open to students enrolled at Clackamas Community College and those planning to attend CCC.

The only requirement is to take at least six credits per term and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The application is linked to the MyClackamas account that students received when applying to CCC.

Some of the scholarship options at CCC are academic honor, first in family to attend college, members of military families, single parents, transfer students, career technical students, training for specific needs, financial need and students formally attending a district high school. All of the options are found in the Scholarships tab on the CCC website.

The application can be found on the clackamas community college website under Financial Aid + Scholarships.

It is recommended that the process is completed through a computer desktop or laptop, although it can be completed from a phone.

The new application process has made applying for scholarships simple and easy.

“I was quite surprised at how easy it was,” says former scholarship recipient Lisa Wetzel. 

The new come and go system means the application can be periodically worked on until it’s completed.

Wetzel was ecstatic to talk about the positives from the scholarship with quotes like, “It made me want to do the best I can,” and “It was someone else invested in me that catapulted me forward.”

Students have shown extreme gratitude for the application process and the awards from the scholarship. 

“I can’t fully express the difference the Foundation Scholarship program made in my life,” said Carina Cooper, a former scholarship recipient, in a quote provided by scholarship analyst Adam Wickert. “I went from being unable to afford school to achieving my Art Transfer Degree. I am a changed person. I became motivated, not only to succeed, but also to work hard as a form of gratitude for this opportunity. I love attending CCC. This scholarship turns distant dreams into real achievements. It happened for me, and so many others,” 

Student feedback proves how helpful the scholarships really are. 

To know if someone got accepted for scholarship, an email will be sent informing the applicant whether or not it was chosen. However, the application, if declined, will be automatically considered for a second round.

The application focuses less on GPA and more on the answers to the short question section provided on the document. “Bring your ‘A’ game to the short answer sections,” said Wickert, Scholarship and Student Success Analyst. He confirms the importance of dedication in the short answer section.

The majority of scholarships offered only required students to maintain a 2.0 GPA, with some requiring a 2.5 or 3.0. The donors emphasise how little grades mean compared to the realistic everyday life of students wanting to attend CCC.

There are in-person sessions all throughout March to help students get started with the application process or to help with any questions on the scholarship. There are also Zoom meetings in April, as well as the scholarship help email scholarships@clackamas.edu.
