Tuition rally seeks CCC representation

As many students have probably noticed, the cost of tuition has risen over the past few years and is continuing to go up. These growing prices are frustrating and for some it can even mean not being able to afford going to school anymore. Fortunately, there is something that can be done about it.

The Associated Student Government is putting together a group of students to rally in Salem in hopes of “freezing tuition,” so prices won’t go up. The rally will be on Thursday, Feb. 12.

“We’re looking for a total of 75 students from Clackamas to represent the community colleges,” said ASG President Erick Breton.

The arrival and departure times are still being decided. However, students can sign up in the ASG office with contact information and be notified with details once they are finalized.

“We want all students to come, who can come, to be there and have a fun day while letting their representatives know that they really don’t want to pay more for tuition,” Breton added.
