Community Wellness, a part of Associated Student Government, is conducting a warm coat and socks drive from now until Nov. 15.
According to Annissa Rhynders, Student Life and Leadership Assistant, the Cougar Cave will collect coats, packaged socks, hats, gloves and scarves.
These items will be distributed during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, which is November 18-22. “We’ll put a coat rack out somewhere in the Community Center and students will be able to take what they can carry away,” Rhynders said.
Anyone can bring gently worn coats, hats, gloves, scarves and new packaged socks to the Community Center and the Dye Learning Center and place them in the large white barrels.
Barrels are outside the Cougar Cave and in the hallway of Dye Learning Center.
